Zara Jamal takes part in webinar on the future of Africa’s mining sector

Zara Jamal will take part on 17 September in the “Africa Mining Unlocked” webinar, hosted by LEX Africa, from 3.00 pm Lisbon time.

The event will bring together mining lawyers from several African jurisdictions to examine the key legal developments, regulatory trends and investment considerations shaping the mining industry across the continent.

Against a backdrop of growing demand for critical minerals, evolving regulatory frameworks and an increasing focus on local beneficiation, the webinar will provide practical insights into the opportunities and challenges associated with investment in the sector.

The panel will feature experts from Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Malawi, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Zambia, and will be moderated by Alice Vlazevic Namuli of Katende, Ssempebwa & Company.

Aimed particularly at North American business leaders and investors, the session will address the key legal and commercial issues to consider as Africa’s mining sector enters a new phase of growth and transformation.
