Karen Mimbir and João Lupi author an article on “The potential of space technologies”

Karen Mimbir, trainee lawyer at JLA Advogados, and João Lupi, senior associate at Abreu Advogados, our partner firm in Portugal, contributed to the 2025 edition of the Mozambique Directory, published by the Portugal–Mozambique Chamber of Commerce, with an article on “The potential of Space Technologies: an opportunity for Mozambique.”

The space sector encompasses a wide range of activities and technologies related to the exploration and use of outer space. Currently, the sector is experiencing significant growth and expansion in Africa, with extraordinary prospects.

This article aims to analyse the potential of the space sector for Mozambique and highlights the urgent need to establish a solid legal framework and political strategy to fully leverage this strategic opportunity for the country’s development.
