JLA Advogados partner Abreu Advogados has been nominated for the first time in the Chambers Africa Awards 2024.

Zara Jamal, partner at JLA Advogados, is once again recognized as Highly Regarded in the categories of Banking and M&A. In the Financial and Corporate category, JLA Advogados maintains its Tier 2 ranking. In the Project Development category, the firm also retains its Tier 3 position.

Emanuel Nhanombe, a lawyer at JLA Advogados, attended the workshop on the Patent Cooperation Treaty. The initiative was organised by the Industrial Property Institute (IPI), in coordination with the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) and the African Regional Intellectual Property Organisation (ARIPO).

On September 14th, Mozambique celebrated Lawyer's Day. As part of the activities honoring Lawyer's Day, Zara Jamal, a partner at JLA Advogados, will contribute to the panel "Advocacy and New Trends: International Aspects"

The African Legal Awards are designed to recognise the main players in the legal sector in Africa and are organised by Law.com International in partnership with the Corporate Counsel Association of South Africa (CCASA) and Africa Legal.
