The legal diplomas concerning the approval of the readjustment of the national minimum wages have been recently published, under the provisions of article 108 of Law no. 23/2007 of August 1st ("Labour Law"), combined with Ministerial Diploma no. 161/2007, of December 31st.
 

For better reference, kindly refer to the table below, with the readjusted minimum wages, for the respective activity sectors:

Notwithstanding the establishment of minimum wages by the Council of Ministers, employers may freely establish minimum wages higher than those provided for in the diplomas described above.
 

The establishment of minimum wages for professional categories not described in the table above shall be subject to collective bargaining between the employers and the respective unions.
 

The readjustment of the national minimum wages fixed by the ministerial diplomas above came into force on August 1st, 2021.
