JLA Advogados and Abreu Advogados advised Limak Cimentos on its new thermal power plant in Mozambique
JLA Advogados and Abreu Advogados (partner office in Portugal) advised Limak Cimentos in the development of its new thermal power plant, located in Matola city, Maputo province. With a capacity of 4.8 megawatts and an investment of 3.5 million euros, this new infrastructure will generate clean energy for cement production, thus reducing carbon emissions into the atmosphere.
The coordination of the advisory services for this operation was conducted by Zara Jamal, partner at Abreu Advogados and JLA Advogados, and included the participation of a multidisciplinary team from both firms, composed by Mafalda Teixeira de Abreu, professional partner at Abreu Advogados; Isabel Pinheiro Torres, associated partner at Abreu Advogados; and Deivid Sacur, lawyer at JLA Advogados.
Limak Cimentos is part of the Limak Group and is one of the three main cement producers in Mozambique, with a large investment in the local and national economy, particularly in the areas of construction and research and development.
