Cecil Gobo is an associate lawyer at JLA Advogados since 2023.​

Cecil Gobo joined JLA Advogados in 2021 and became an associate lawyer in 2023.

​​

He has experience in disputes involving banks and their employees, arising from non-compliance with internal regulations which trigger criminal and disciplinary proceedings.

​​

He also has experience in disputes involving banks and their clients arising from breach of financing contracts.​

 

He has conducted several litigation processes involving extrajudicial and judicial credit recovery issues.​

 

Cecil has also authored published articles, including Procedural Management and Formal Adequacy – an Invitation to Reflect on Mozambican Civil Procedure (published in the Julgar Magazine - Portugal); The Modern Principle of Co-operation – An Invitation to Reform Mozambican Civil Procedure (published in the Julgar Magazine - Portugal); Management Powers of the Mozambican Judge (published in the Revista dos Tribunais - Brazil). He has also co-authored the book "Innovation, Development and Compliance in a Changing Financial Sector", published by Escolar Editora.

Cecil was also a Member of the Board of Honor of the CCPM (Chamber of Commerce, Portugal - Mozambique), in 2019, and a Member of Young ICCA.​

 

Cecil is a member of the Mozambique Bar Association and of the Center for Arbitration, Conciliation and Mediation.
